Southern California Porsche dealers
Hey all, I have been reading and doing my homework for awhile, and have decided to start looking into dealers to order (or just buy off the lot) a new 997s. Can anyone recommend a dealer? Looking to get the best deal, but also looking for someone who will take care of a Porsche newbie.
I live in the South Bay, so any insight into Pacific Porsche would be helpful.
Thanks in advance,

Thanks for the reply Dave. What dealer would you recommend outside of the South Bay or Southern Cal? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Oh, and I am also moving out of a e46 M3.
Thanks,

I bought my car from Mark Taylor at Pacific. I believe I overpayed a little but he's a stand up guy. I would definitely talk to him before and after you talk to some dealers around the country.

helpful links to dealer stock
I used these links to look at what they have in stock (or coming). Good when choosing options and colors.

I dealt with Mark Taylor at Pacific..he would only go $750 off of MSRP, my friend and business partner was going to go the 997 S route as well but ended up in a new Jag XK. Mark was going to take 2% off of MSRP if we both bought, if only one of us bought than $750.00 off or something like that.
If money wasn't an issue and I didn't mind the extra $200.00 a month lease payment I would have bought locally. The car is a stretch for my budget the way it is...
Only downfall of ordering out of state is dealing with the registration which is really just a couple of hours an afternoon though...
Either way happy hunting...the end result is well worth the effort.
The M3 has it's plusses over the PCar..the M3 I feel is a better road car (daily driver). As a drivers car the PCar is definitely the better of the 2 though. Although I hate the standard mirror in the 997, I miss my cool oval mirror in the M3 and the visors look straight out of a VW Beetle.
Either way the 997 is loaded with character and you will love it....

Thanks for the links BoDog! I really need the input.
Love your color combo, that's the mix I was thinking. I assume you had to order it? Did you get less of a deal for ordering vs. buying off the lot?
