997S Engine Blown!
but not in a bad way. I have over 600 miles so far with it and its impressive. I scored on the Evo group buy(thanks to all who bought) and drove out to Tempe and had Evo install it (They were great). The hard part as others have said is watching out for the rev limiter. After 4K it screams to red line.
The baseline run was with only a Full AWE Exhaust.
I do need to go out and take some new pix and video caues I just got new shoes too.
Thx to wheelenhancement for the F110s too(super helpful, no BS). and I cant forget the clear sides from bumperplugs.
I do need help picking out springs to drop her some. Ideas?

You got me too. I was very attempt to get the SC. Then I find out it wouldn't past the California Smog test (visual inspection), I know it would pass the Emisson no problem. I see you live in CA also, how you going to deal with that?
Beside that your EVO graph are very impressive. Congrats!

I really dont get it.I thought the 3.8 Carrera S is making 452 at the wheels and have 18% drivetrain power loss. What i see here is 417 at the flywheel. Why did you Dyno the car in 4th gear and not 5th?The car should make at least 450 whp.
My kit just arrived in the Airport of Athens but because of the Easter time here in Greece i am going to have it in my hands in Thersday. Will post pics during installation and a few videos.

Lookin good and thanks for posting your dyno runs. I've got a couple thousand on my blower now, and it seems to get a bit quicker (butt dyno) after the first 1000 miles. The power curve looks exactly like the car feels, very linear. I'd love to see a head to head with a 997TT, I've driven mine back to back with a modded 997TT and I'm sure I'm quicker to 30, maybe 60mph but after that I'm pretty sure the TT would be gone. I do know for sure that I've surprised the **** out of many a corvette and viper owner!

Hi NikosFindas,
Those numbers are at the wheels. So at the crank I'd estimate around 500+HP.
58spdstr thx, your past comments have helped.
P997S, since I dont have a dyno when I had PSE we dont have any thing to compare to. That being said changing the exhaust made a very noticeable difference in the car before the S/C. It looks like the car was doing 303whp,357chp from these numbers which I wouldnt complain about for how much the exhaust was.
deputydog95, thx for the past S/C infopostings too, not sure of the model dyno at Evo, but I do know it has big Fans and can handle 4WD
cheers

Ok now that my heart is out of my stomach I will continue to add my comment. That title really freaked me out!
Anyways the dyno runs were done on our all-wheel drive mustang dyno and the numbers quoted were at the wheels. This car put down some pretty impressive numbers. Todd Zuccone our owner was even impressed. That guy could get a ride in a jet plane and not be impressed but this 997 S car really impressed him. Thanks for allowing us to do the install Todd and feel free to contact us at anytime!
