Lucent rocks! Arlings down with everyone.
Heard only good things about GMG also.

 

Lucent did my exhaust, springs, alignment and they rock.

 

as many have said, both are very respected and reputable. i have only deal with lucent personally and i have no problem giving my house keys to arling or tom. they are definitely trust worthy and will not do you wrong. in fact, even my wife would have no problem leaving them my credit card. except she deosn't trust me enough to do so and know that i would mod away!!

I would reccomend lucent as well, very top notch. I only had my cayenne alligned there, when I could not find anyone else that could do it, and they did a great job.

 

and i heard lucent has the best BBQ event. wait, that was a decade ago, when i the next one??

 

Take it to Lucent, Arling, Tom, and the crew will take care of ya. While you wait, there's an awesome Mediterranian Chicken place couple blocks down.

 

Via emails, GMG has given me lower prices.

Lucent has done 1 thing (Tech-Art springs) to my car (I went to Arling because of the talk/rep and wasted several hours waiting).

I have emailed Arling about follow-up (check alignment after the fact, and to add wheel spacers), and he has been very slow to respond.....

 

or there is a seven-eleven next door with 2 dollar hot dog.

 

personally I had a bad experience with GMG, never again would I go back to those guys (fabreyce or what ever his name is).

 

Wow. I'm sorry to hear. GMG will be tuning my Turbo in a couple weeks and Fabryce has been nothing but the best thus far. His partner James as well.

 

Not taking sides, but this thread could get ugly... Both companies have been well represented on 6Speed as well as other forums. If there are any issues, before making them public, maybe talk to either shop first. I know we should hear the good and bad of any company, that's what the forums are for, but in the case of GMG and Lucent...give them a chance to make it right (the benefit of the doubt) and I'm sure they will.

i apologized for that but i just come back to the States as i stated in our last exchanged email. ur last email on the 8th said u could do it earliest this week i hope it's not to late for rechecking alignment. on your waiting last time i did not want to waste ur time but it was a last minute appointment & i had to wait for the part to arrive. if it's our normal schedule u would not have to wait that long. u had to get it done that day i thought we both understand but if u brought it up now i feel very sorry about that.

 

My car's at GMG right now and I've used them in the past. Great guys, very knowledgeable - you get what you pay for...
