997 vs Cayman.. Is this a good Buy?
#48
Congrats, I think you have made the right choice.
During my last service, my dealer lent me a Cayman S. The car is nice, but I think the driving feeling in in 997 is superior. Also I miss the power and torque even compared to a standard C2.
Haven't tested the Cayman on track, but I have spent 6 days on Nürburing Nordscleife, 2 weeks ago and I am very impressed about the way the 997 handle. Turn in is perfect, brakes and balance perfect, and you can apply power almost whenever you want without problems. Those who thinks this car is unbalanced I can't understand.
Spoke with some routineers, and the told that the Cayman felt a little lighter and well balanced, down on power, but very tricky when you went passed the limit. This circuit is quite special, but these was the comments. Ten 997 for each cayman was the numbers in the pitlane.
