widest rear wheel....
#19
Two and a half year thread bump I know, but at least I'm searching. I was told by a guy over at vivid today that my 06 997s couldn't run 12's in the rear. Obviously a few of you have the 12's in the rear so I guess it is possible? For those of you running 11.5's or 12's have you had any rubbing issues? Also anyway I could run a 9 up front? Also if I did run 12's in the rear, what is an ideal offset?

anyone with a close up of a 19x11 HRE P40 (or P43) wheel w/ 305 PS2 tires? am afraid that the added tire width may rub the fenders on a C2S. my factory wheels are sport classics and are 11.5 in width and worried if width gets downsized the sidewalls balloon...

widest wheel/tire for a C2/S is 19x12 w 305 or 20x12 with 325 (no 325 in the correct profile for 19")
below is 19x12 with 305 MPC tires and a 5mm spacer to bring the wheel out more for more aggressive stance so you can see the fender can easily handle a 12

That thing is sexy...Any more pics of that car? I love that setup, those are brushed right? .... when it comes to a 20" wheel , is there an advange to running a 11.5 compared to the 11? Or is 11 the best fit?

Optimal front width - 8.5".

When it comes to 20" rims it is all at disadvantage. It was discussed numerous times here - optimal size for street is 19". Optimal size for performance on track - 18". Optimal rear width on non-wide body C2s - 11". 11" wide OZs I have are exactly at same edge with rear fenders, wider rims would look protruding out.
Optimal front width - 8.5".
