Front license plate frame question

Front license plate frame question
In California, and especially around LAX, the police like to ticket for not having a front plate. SO, does anyone have any thoughts on mounting a front plate? I don't have holes in my bumper, and really don't want to drill it, but am afraid I will have to. Thoughts?
Thanks,

On a 996 GT3 front bumper just remove the two plugs next to the plug for the tow hook. Then you'll need part numbers 996-701-801-00 and 996-701-802-00 (left and right license plate frame spacers). The porsche front license plate frame has cut-outs in it that fit over these two spacers. Two screws to attach the frame to the bumpers spacers and then you can mount whatever frame you want over it. I use a Weather Tech license plate frame that uses a sealed rubber enclosure between the clear plastic lens and the license plate. Keeps the plate nice and clean.
I'd rather have a plate up front than get pulled over for something stupid like that. Already been ticketed for no front plate once while in Los Angeles. Keep in mind though that even a clear plastic cover over your plates is illegal in California too although I've only been ticketed for that once and I had really pissed the cop off so he was looking for anything else he could find.

Personally I try to minimize my interactions with the police so if putting a front plate on helps accomplish this then count me in. Additionally I don't think it's just a fix-it ticket in San Francisco. I believe there's a fine as well and from what I understand if your car is parked on the street the parking ***** will cite you every time. Maybe they're more lenient in Del Mar?
Hell, having that thing sticking out the front of my car also gives the nose a bit of protection for when the next idiot backs into my car. A cracked license plate frame is easier and cheaper to fix than a scratched/chipped nose.

Maybe I've been lucky. (knock on wood) but never got a ticket for it. I'm sure they look for it more in other areas. I just can't stand the look of it. But at the end of the day yes your taking a risk.

Use a car cover... Put the plate number on the cover....
I don't usually park in public areas so I don't have that issue but yes, LAX will ticket you while you're parked... BS I know...

Do you still have some? If not, recommend where I can get one? I'm in SoCal and I could use one of these. PM me if available. Thanks.
