Today, while waiting for a red light in La Jolla, I watch SIX Porsches go by. Yuck!

In 5 yrs driving the Turbo I've seen only a couple on the road. Hardly ever see 911s.
Each of my cars is pretty unique around here......but they'd be fun to drive where ever I'd live.

I know in California it seems everyone drives them... but they are somewhat rare here in Virginia. My guess is everyone is strapped making their house payments here.
Reminds me of this movie quote.
Memphis: Roger, I have a problem...
Roger the Car Salesman: Yes?
Memphis: I've been in L.A. for three months now. I have money, I have taste. But I'm not on anybody's "A" list, and Saturday night is the loneliest night for the week for me.
Roger the Car Salesman: Well, a Ferrari would certainly change that.
Memphis: Perhaps, Mmmm. But, you know, this is the one. Yes, yes yes... I saw three of these parked outside the local Starbucks this morning, which tells me only one thing. There's too many self-Indulgent wieners in this city with too much bloody money!

The 997 used-car market is stagnant right now. I have seen the same 100+ 2005 Carrera's being sold on autotrader.com/cars.com/etc for the last 2 months it seems. Prices have dropped them into the mid 60's for a well-equiped "S" version. The people who price them in the 70's are in for a loooonggg wait to find a buyer.

That's a big swing in the average income. The jump is even greater from everyday, inland areas like Riverside.

i want that exclusiveness back for the Pcars!! take out cayenne, cayman and boost the price of the boxster a bit at least!!! lol
I just don't get Porsche nowadays, they have like 40% shares of VW, why do they still need Cayenne, boxster/cayman to boost up their sales?

but i got to note that Pcars are kinda rare in Canada (Of course except the Cayenne/CayenneS). Our insurance is killing the brand i think and nobody is willing to pay that amount on a car. however, I see BMW/MB more than Toyotas here.
