Can I swap 19in "Carrera Sport Wheel" with 19in "Turbo Wheel" on C4s w/o any mods?

Hi,

I am looking to find out if whether I can swap out the 19 Carrera Sport wheels on a 2007 C4s to the 19 inch Turbo Wheels, without having to make any other modifications to the car.

Do I need to be concerned about the offset? Spacers needed?

Please let me know, thanks.

The Carrera Sport have a rear offset of 67mm and when mounted on the C4 will have 17mm spacers on the rear so you'll have to take the spacers off if you are going to mount the TT wheels. I'm not sure if the lug bolts holding the spacer can be used to mount the wheel so you'll have to check if you'll need new lug bolts for the rear. The TT wheels were designed for the widebody 997's and have a rear offset of 51mm which is the same offset used on the C4 Carrera S, Carrera Classic, Carrera Sport Design so once you get the 17mm spacer off the TT wheels will fit fine. The fronts will be no problem - Carrera Sport has 55mm offset and the TT has 56mm offset.

my friend has the carrera classic wheels (et 51mm). and he was able to use spacers, i think 15mm.
so the turbo wheels (et 51) will also work with spacers on a widebody...

I think Porsche would say OK to 5mm spacers but why would you use 15mm spacers if the offsets are correct?

yeah, porsche only does 5mm spacers as an option from the factory, but that really makes no sense to me since it is hardly noticeable.
my friends 15mm spacers are purely for cosmetics and definitely not within porsche specs but they look great and he hasnt had any problems.
