Well, I have been really trying to get the right one. I spent a little more than I wanted but I found the right one. I really wanted either a c4s slate grey with sport crono or a c2s launch edition with everything.

I just sent my deposit for the launch edition..Nice car-serviced, new tires, clean car fax and has my favorite options:Nav-crono-ceramic brakes and sport adaptive seats. I am very excited!!

Should have the car next week depending on shipping from Utah...

Well, since you asked..

The launch edition cars are special because they were the first cars that dealers had-hence launch edition that were used for demo's and to show people the new 997. They were fitted usually with almost every possible option that porsche offers for the 997s.
They have the ceramic breaks(yellow ones), navigation, sport crono, sport seats-(some have the sport adaptive ones), sport suspension etc...
Problem is with alot of cars that the first few sometimes have the first problems and some have recalls and other issues. The recalls are not any real problems since porsche will take care of it but I have come accross a few lemoned ones and few have lagging issues.
This is about the extent of what i know about the car other than I believe all are black, black cars.

I'm going to order a C2 very soon, never owned a Porsche but this will be my dream come true.
Been thinking about some options, especially the Euro delivery tour. Also, I was on the dilemma of getting a new E-class MB or this. however, I could save some more money if I am going with the MB SLK or the boxster.. or even the new 3-series Cab.
Damn, making decisions had never been so difficult.

btw, I currently own an E-class MB. but it's an older model... so I'm planning to throw that away (I do love the car!) and grab myself a real sports car for everyday driving. :P

Hello Neijia,
my build date was july 18th, i ordered mine around June as well, one dealer was telling me its an august build, due in september, and my current dealer told me that i would have it in august from a July build.

it all depends on the dealers allocation,
hope this helps

Good morning Phil, i was told its on a ship arriving baltimore on August 2nd, i have no clue when it will hit the dealer, i was told the dealer is holding back the 08's. i would love to know if anyone has the same dilemma and possibly has an answer as to when the 08's should be released to the dealers. by the way congratulations Phil. hey call your dealer and get the name and arrival of the ship.
