Those numbers are actually alittle high for a 3.6 because they are not using a SAE C.F., if you notice on the top right hand corner it shows CF: STD not SAE, if they were SAE you can probably lop off about 10hp. Still your numbers are right where a non S should be if not alittle better.

Didnt read your whole post, didnt see that you had the REVO upgrade and the mufflers. I was going to say you are probably up 10-15rwhp over a non modded non S. Good job...what octane fuel were you running?

I personally dont think headers wont be worth much on a 3.6, in fact AWE claims only 11rwhp on their whole system (headers, cats and mufflers). Its the 3.8 that is choked up with the awful headers that they have and even those by itself on the 3.8 is at best worth only 4-5rwhp. If you want to do something I would probably recommend the cats. The plenum I have heard mixed results with, so your mileage may vary. Whats nice about the Revo software (if you got the user adjustable version) is that you may be able to eek out a few more gains if you take the time and tweak it.

This is just my opinion on this matter, so once again your mileage will vary..

hi dave, i think i am going to go the plenum route, because when i had my boxster s and mod'd it.i had major headaches when i switched the cats..never ending cels and other stuff..my hope is to get 7 or 8 hp from the plenum which would put my max hp t about 297 or 298 hp to the wheels..the place i did my dyno run is the same place that european car mag did theres for the tests on the 997S the modded .they put on a cargraphics system, headers, cats and mufflers..and then the plenum...there base hp for the 997S was 296.so i would like to get somthing around that...will see what happens..thanks again for the help and ideas.

Before my SC or any mods, my 997S put down 307 and 308 RWHP on two different runs. Just FYI.

The difference was he was probably running 93 octane while you were on Ca. 91, there is an easy 8-10 rwhp difference between the 2 fuels.

Carmos, you can blend 4 gallons of 100 octane to 12 gallons of 91 and you will get to 93 octane. Not to mention you will get a better burn with the added unleaded race fuel. I use Sunoco 104 Unleaded (lucky there is a station just down the street that carries it)blending in 3 gallons of 104 to my 13 gallons of 91, it definitely made a difference.

If you are near Huntington Beach there are several stations including Evosport that carries VP Racing 100, I think Evosport sells it for like $6.99 per gallon.

Here is a list of stations:
Fullerton
Mark's 76

2043 W Commonwealth Ave. (cross of Gilbert)
Between Magnolia and Brookhurst, north of I-5 and 91 Fwy.
(714) 278-0986
100 octane unleaded at the pump 06/27/06
Open 24 hours

Huntington Beach
Huntington Beach Car Wash
18971 Beach Blvd near Garfield Ave. (714) 847-4924
Hours: 8 AM - 5 PM, 7 days a week.
100 octane VP Racing at the pump.
Pump is padlocked because that pump doesn't have an ATM reader. You'll need to pay inside. 01/29/07

Laguna Hills
76 Station
25172 Cabot Rd. (near La Paz)
(949) 770-8300
100 octane unleaded at the pump (multiple pumps) 10/27/06

Newport Beach
Newport Hills 76

2690 San Miguel Rd. (949) 644-7151
Hours: 6 AM - 10 PM, 7 AM - 10 PM on Sundays.
100 octane unleaded fuel at the pump 01-29-07

Orange
Mitchell's Auto, "The Pit Stop"
700 Chapman Ave. (714) 532-5900

Hope this helped...Give them a call before you go, as Im sure a few of them may have stopped carrying it.

Dave
