Well...at least in the car configurator you can choose your car to have a limited slip differential...I think you can order it later

You have to order it on the car before it gets to the dealership. The -20mm sport suspension with LSD is available for Europe and ROW only (unfortunate for us North Americans).

The reviews of the -20mm suspension have been stellar. They can be read on Rennteam. It also doesn't hurt that the 997 Carrera S does a sub-8-minute 'Ring time with that suspension as well!

I figure if you're not Walter Rohl (an expert driver) or compulsive about track times, you really don't need it for practical street driving.

PASM precludes an LSD? (Or is it just that they offer one but not the other, depending on the market?)

The PASM cars don't have LSD, only with the -20mm sport suspension og GT3

Im talking about the ROW cars not US or Canada cars, if you get PASM you can't get the sport suspension with LSD. The Quaife diffy seems to be a nice piece and it can handle quite a bit of horsepower.

Great point... but I think you found something:
997 Carrera and 997S: either -20mm w/LSD (ROW only) OR PASM, but not both
997 GT3: LSD PLUS PASM (no PSM)
997 Turbo: Optional LSD (available in North America!) + PTM + PSM + PASM

I'm really confused now?!?!

I guess their marketing department did the Carrera owners in, here in North America, a la' GT3 with Sunroof!

I don't see any reason why the 997 Carrera (and Cayman and Boxster) couldn't get it here, with all the weird combinations they have going on with the other models. It seems to be price related...
