Installed My e-bay headers

I installed my E-bay headers today and took measurements.

Stock C2S Headers. E-Bay Headers

Exhaust Manifold Opening

Front 33.92 x 54.85 33.73 x 54.28
Center 33.90 x 54.84 33.52 x 54.72
Rear 33.90 X 55.02 33. 57 x 54.21

Cat opening 51.58 56.86

Outside Dia of Pipe at collector
Front 42.77 x 41.40 42.62 x 41.94
Center 33.06 x 45.68 42.05 x 41.91
Rear 42.27 X 41.60 42.00 x 41.85

All in all not huge differences. But the center pipe of the Stock header is an issue as is the opening to the cat. In addition the the ebay headers have had the welds grinded down at the manifold which was not done on the stock header. Less turbulence.

The x-51 headers have 6mm bigger pipes going by memory but are not an equal length set up like this. I question whether or not I should have gone with the X-51's.

On the car during a quick drive I noticed a small difference on the Butt dyno. Seemed to rev easier and more top end with no loss down low.

Bottom line for $250.00 they are a bargain and add some performance.

After further testing on the Butt Dyno I really like the change. Definitely revs easier and has more power. As a side benefit the resonating in the cabin is less in 6th at highway speeds.

You mentioned that you don't feel any change in terms of performance. So... what's the point of even spending 200+ bucks to buy something that makes no difference. It starts to make less sense to me these days.

I don't doubt RUF when comes to the 997 or x-51 headers. But look at the headers on a stock 997 S. They are very restricted compared to the stock 997 or the x-51 header.

One of the aftermarket makers said the x-51 Header was the best from their tests.

The x-51 and stock 997 look the same but I don't know about the pipe dimensions.

Again from the Butt and Ear dyno I am not disappointed especially for the price.

I would say the improvement I felt after installing Plenum. Better in Combination.

My guess 10 -20 HP easy overall from both. Definitely a better throttle response - revs up easier.

It probably would have been been cheaper .
Or maybe the engine turned out to be too powerful and they had to tune it down a bit for less performance ( just to **** us off ? ) Lol

But as long as youre happy with the results ,life is too short to worry about the details . Lol
Probably the main reason Full exhaust sytems for a 3.6 don't increase claimed performance as much as for the 3.8.

I am happy. As another poster said best $250 I spent on the car.

I was goofing around with the idea and placed a bid for $150. Wouldn't you know it, I won unexpectedly and it'll be on its way. So my concern now is if I install this, will or how it will effect my factory warranty?
