What is the average size lip of your aftermarket wheels for 997s

I was under the impression after looking at photos and pics of your rides that it was possible to have a 3-4 inch lip on the rear. Since the wheel was 19*11 that we mostly use I am trying to compare and find out. Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

3" is possible but with 4" i don't think it will clear the brakes of the car.

my champion rg19's have a very small lip, maybe 2 inches in the rear,
anthony has no lip, techart formula. (unless he changed em)
i think iforged claims that they have the technology for the biggest lips on there new wheels, check em out. i think they have 4inches.
do you like the deep look?

I have a c4s cab w/ DPE wheels, rear lip is 4 inches front is 2 inches, iforged can give you 5 inch lip with the precission series but for me it looks to bowed looking (staggered), 4 inch looks perfect imo....good luck.

yeah, i think that the deeper lip makes the wheel look smaller.
plus greater chance for bending...
if you like the deep look i think 3-4in should suffice.

Reminder that......lip depth is not a wheel dimension.
The style of wheel, it's diameter(17-20"), it's ET(width), and it's offset are.
Lip is simply as function of a particular offset on a given wheel.......for instance, 45mm offset will generate dif lip on dif wheel.

But it is possible to have a 3" lip on a wheel for a 997C2s?

Most companies would be able to produce these right?

That is the problem, I bought some wheels that I thought had at least a 3" lip and instead they have a 1.5" lip on the rear. Most people would prefer the look but I would rather have the bigger lip. I have not mounted the wheels or even taken them out of the box. I am going to try and trade them back or maybe sell them.
Thanks Raffi

Well, Nick@thespeedgallery.com, was the guy who hooked me up with the rims. He offered to take back the wheels if I want something different to make sure that I was happy. I am simply amazed that there are still a few good guys out like Nick who stand behind their products they sell and offer to take them back to make sure their customer stays happy. I would def. tell anyone who wants A++ service and looking for a great deal to seek Nick out and use his business if they need anything.
After speaking to him, I found that not every company makes a huge lip for a our cars and that 2inch lip would be an average size. He contacted work wheels and could get me another set but waiting the 6-8weeks to get them would not justify the 8-10mm more of a lip they can get me.
So i might just keep the ones I got. I have an option to find some HRE ones and or another wheels all together but since I have these wheels just sitting in my office right now, I might throw them on and latter on get something different.
Long story short, I am amazed that there are still some great companies out there and people who believe and stand by customer service as being an important part of business.

Wizo
