I could have bought the Pirelli Rosso but was warned by lots of people including the dealer that they are loud tires and have balance problems. the dealer would have rather sold me the less expensive Bridgstones....I ended up with the best of the best..Michelin Pilot Sport 2's.

I've been looking for tires also. I was recommended the Nitto Invo. Anyone have any feed back on this tire? Same price point as Bridgestone RE050A, higher tread rating. Thanks.

You can't be serious...Nitto on a P-car? I wouldn't even put Nitto on my Honda Prelude. I would not go with anything that is not P-car approved. Worst case scenario if you want to save a few bucks buy the non Porsche spec RE050A or Contisportcontact 2. My RE050A N0 shipped out today from Tirerack...lookin forward to getting them on the car and getting the worn out and loud as hell Pirellis off!

Good deal. Go with the RE050A and save the $$$ compared to the Pirelli and Michelin.

I agree. I just had my new set of RE050A mounted on Sat. We had a mix of dry and wet weather this weekend in Salt Lake so I got to experience the tires in both conditions. They are great. I pushed the car pretty hard in the dry and I will say I am happy with the traction levels. There is more grip than the Rosso. Though I only got to experience fairly worn Rossos - (2/32nds) as I just bought my '06 911S which came with these. In the wet, they are fine as well. Not great, but managable.

I really don't understand why one would buy Pirelli Rosso when you can get 4 Bridgestones for the price of 2 Pirellis.

Yeah the Rosso do not score nearly as well as the RE050A in the tirerack results. If one wanted to spend that kind of money then getting the PS2 for about the same price is a no brainer.
