Wheels & Powdercoating... please help

I have a 2007 C4 ( widebody)
Carrara white ( anybody know why they used the "a" instead of the "e" ?)

I want to powdercoat the wheels to match the car.
I had a company try to paint then powdercoat over the paint.
I ended up with a mess.
Can you recommend a powder coating company that can match the original paint? ( 100% pwdercoat)

As far as the size of the wheels I am leaning toward 19's
Can you give me input on the ride/ handling vs 20's?

Last of all I want to have wider rims (12" rear)
and a 5 spoke design what would you do?

Sandblast/Acid wash the wheel's and repaint with automotive paint. It will give you a very duralble finish but also a bit of maintenance.

19 vs 20
20 will be more responsive because less sidewall but a 19 will give you more grip in a long turn because the sidewall has room to roll and thus keeping the tire patch on the road flatter for a slightly longer time.

As far as handling 20 is not better for anything. Looks, some people like it, I think it depends on the rim. If I wer u i would go with a 19 techarts in white.

Carrara is an italian marble. Carrera was a race.

Fastforwardwheels.com does great work.

i doubt you will be able to get a perfect match with powdercoat, if you want the finish to look like your car, the only option is to paint.
are you sure you want white wheels though?
maybe on a range or a benz, but cant imagine it looking that great on a porsche.

Unless you have ceramic brakes you should paint them in a brake dust color. White would only look good after you wash your car.

Double ditto on the brake dust comment.

Unless your willing to speed a lot of hours cleaning those wheels than white is not the route to take. Of course if you love to clean wheels it'll be a match.

Good luck which ever way you go!
