what is the dead zone. I think you need to have it unpluged and it will be fine

Just direct wire a switch from fuse box to solenoid, as I did and many others have, and no dead spot, off/on at will!

Sorry to bump this old thread but how many of you have actually done the "gundo hack" and seen positive results? Can anyone report & post about it (pros & cons)? Thanks

Sounds great! best sound i've heard so far, only thing that i found that i dont like is that if your revving very slow most of the exhaust air is flowing thru the muffler, but under hard acceleration you hear it flowing thru both, so what i mean is its not allways the same sound, it changes on how hard you accelerate.

went to muffler shop ..

guy said the connecting pipe could be nearer to the inlets...

This would result in more bypass effect and LOUDER sound..

i wonder where is the optimum..

Here is what i mean in green ..

Nice, are you going to do it? I want to hear some more feedback from those who have taken the plunge. Thanks!

not really a plunge, if you dont like it you can always get a set of stock pipes off here for just about shipping coats, compaired to $1500-$2000 that you will spend of a exhaust system this will cost you 10% of that.

so i guess startup will be no change since low rev?

anyway to overcome this?

the startup sound is also a criteria.

perhaps larger hole? or shifting the connectingf pipe nearer to the inlet/outlet entrance?

the "gundo Hack" its a cheap way of mod-ing your stock system to sound like the "Sport System"
