Units usually ship with an earlier version, simple to update anytime.
We have installers in CA, NC, FL, NY, etc.

Thanks Eric.
I am supposed to pickup my car today after installation of (1) the Gateway with bluetooth hands free option (using the Porsche mic rather than the mic that comes with the kit), (2) the XM unit from Porsche, and (3) PSE always on electronic switch.!
I can't wait!!!!

Should show on the iPod first, when you do the update. Doubt you would have 2.05 since it just came out.
Neil - this was Bob (Ft Worth)'s reaction after the install: "all the the playlists, artists, albums load lightening quick compared to before. So much so that it was immediately noticable. For that alone, a worthy upgrade"

Here is Bluetooth update install, behind glovebox. Basic install back here is similar, but, you must tap into back of PCM FIOS and get electric.

I tried to use the Porsche stock microphone with the bluetooth hands free accessory kit, but the impedance is wrong for the microphone. However, we learned that there are two places for microphones in the steering column, but that only one is used from the factory. So, we just put the microphone that came with the kit into the unused slot for the stock microphone. I need to test the car some more, but it appears to be ideal: invisible and aimed directly at the driver for very good sound quality.
