For everyone who said the Jeep SRT8 couldn't tow.
So I drive up to my local hitch and bumper shop with a idea and sketch of what I was after. Two hours and $400 later my Jeep GC SRT8 can tow.
I had it fabricated so that the hitch that is bolted to frame is hidden. I then had a attachable extender bar that puts the reciever mount right below the exhaust for when I want to tow. Lastly I flipped the ball mount where it gets the boat level and puts it out of the way of the exhaust.
As you can tell ,everything stows away for a very clean appearance. The best part about it is you would never know i had a hitch until put the extender and ball mount in.
My Mopar Jeep SRT8 wiring harness comes in on Monday. I am having the shop weld the chain loops on the ball mount (since they forgot) on Monday.
FYI- The manaul says the Jeep GC SRT8 has 3500 lbs towing capacity.
Sorry for the order of the pics. I used heavy duty velcro to sesure the ball mount in the floor board compartment. I used 3 fuzzy strips as padding on the floor but only attached one small strip on the ball mount to keep it secure.

I have always loved the looks of the SRT, its a shame it can't tow more than 3500lbs...
Very nice setup.

The reason it cant tow more than 3500 lbs is b/c of the size/strength of the parking pin. This truck can tow well over 3500 lbs it just wouldn't be a smart idea to park a hill. The regular GC can tow nearly 7500 lbs I believe.

I was looking at an Srt 8, but I got a Cayenne S due to the towing Capacity on the S. I tow near the limit of 7000 lbs with my boat, although just at the marina ramp and to the parking spot (never on the highway).
I thought it could only tow 3500 lbs because it didn't have any low gear selector.

Good job!
It always annoys me when they build a large vehicle and don't equip it for towing. In Europe I hear they tow with MB sedans and wagons all the time. I also hate when a magazine reviews a truck and does not list the tow rating. Like last week's Autoweek review of the new catfish-looking Infinity V8 truck.
