I have owned at least one of every model and the H1 was the best IMO. I would take and H3 over an H2. Have not driver the V8 H3 but must be a big improvement.

Actually, A Wrangler Rubicon will follow a Hummer just about anywhere. However, the Hummer has durability and rigidity that the Jeep does not. The are great not because of there off-road abilities, but because you can beat the crap out of them and it wont hurt it one bit.

They are available in 3,4,5,6 speed transmisions depending on the year. If it's in the budget go for the duramax and the allison 1000. Depends on the tire size but around 2600 to 2900 if I remeber correctly. I had an open top so very loud on the the hwy. I did a few 1000 mile trips and you get tired of it after awhile. The wagons are much better for the over the road. Most of the time we trailered it to the trail head. They aren't bad around town or for short trips.

Yes. The intake is the round thing in front of the passenger side window. You can also get snorkels that extend that to to the level of the roof. If I'm not mistaken, I believe the crank case and diff breathers vent there as well.

I have been out with guys with old trucks or decom military trucks in water half way up your chest never took mine that deep. with the doors closed they are sealed up well. They are tested in a dunk tank at the plant and seam seal/silcone is added until they stay sealed. But I still never wanted to turn mine into a fish bowl. It was fun to ride with the guys will the old truck who did though.
