The Z06 could be a huge competitor if it had an even decent interior. That's a gorgeous interior, but it comes stock with the same interior as a Chevy Malibu....It wouldn't take much to make that car FAR more enjoyable.

Drove for 7 hrs today, got in and this ZO6 woke me up....WOW!

 

But I think you're missing the point...
The Z06 is a track car basically, or at least that was it's intended use. The cheapy plastic interior is liteweight and that's why it lives in the car. Given that so many other things on the car are weight / performance specific, I guess I'm not surprised. Now if you wanted to "enhance" the standard vette interior, ok. That would fall within the intent of the car. Let's just say when I'm driving my Z, the look of the interior really isn't something I spend time contemplating...
Personally, I don't care much for this interior - especially given the price. The seats are cool, as are the black suede pieces, but that quilted poop on the center console sides is reminiscent of a 60's era hotrod or lowrider. (not that there's anything wrong with that - lol)

Mr. Corvette: Caravaggio is located in Ontario, Canada I believe and you reside in Minniapolis (?) Did you have to leave your car with Caravaggio for your interior upgrade or does Caravaggio have affiliated dealerships in who can perform the upgrade?

XLR8N: Who, in the San Diego area, performed your interior upgrade and would you recommend them to other Corvette owners looking to improve the interior of their Vette?

 

Yup, but really what else can do what the z does for the same price ? Me personally, F_ _ _ K the interior, I've come accustomed to American plastic and rubber and really, all those who see how clean my car is have never said the interior looks 'low rent' just 'damn thats a sweet z'
