Buying A Viper...Need Some Advice
#32
I as well have been on the hunt for a viper
my choice is the 06 coupe, black silver stripe, 5 spoke wheels
if i can ever find one
although ive drove gen 1,2,3 and the older ones are really unique, 03 an up seem to be more refined
either way you will enjoy the car , goodluck

Central Florida Chrysler Jeep Dodge had one with 6k miles last time I was there.

Honestly, I'm not looking for a track car...just something to shead tears in on the road. I would likely drive this car less than 5k miles/year but I want to enjoy every single one of them. I do drive pretty aggressively on the road, but I always respect the power of my cars and get to know them well before taking any chances on the road. I have owned a c5 vette, c5 z06, 03 Cobra, and most recently an M5.
SRT it is then. If it's just a mean weekend cruiser, you're much better off with the SRT. You may not like that it's a vert, but verts are very fun, you'll have the better looking body style, more power, and a little more comfort (this isn't a bad thing when we're comparing two Vipers). The ACR is good if you're on the track but it doesn't sound like it's a good fit for your uses.
