Convertable z06 option, any takers ?
If GM wised up and made a vert z06 who here would be interested? I for one would be.Some say it can't be done due to rigidity and handling. That is BS as there are plenty sports cars with over 500 hp offered in vert. Granted they are expensive but it can be done.

That's true, a 500 HP can become a convertible, take the Viper for example... anyways we would have bought a Z06, but my father is more of a roadster type of guy so he chose the convertible. I saw the pics of that conversion, the person who worked on it did an amazing job! If GM did offer a Z06 convertible, I would be in line to get one for sure!

I wouldnt like the convertible, but I would like a targa option. Awhile back a company was doing C5 Z06 targe top conversions, and they were just as good as OEM. I can see the reason why GM doesnt do Z06 convertibles, and its the same reason they dont give them auto tranny options. Theyre keeping it a real sportscar.

I have seen some vert converts but I would agree and cant see GM taking the Z06 or the ZR1 and turn them into touring sports. Never say never.

I've seen a conversion and it was pretty cool, but I prefer the coupe.

These 'verts have been around for most of the year so far, if not last as well. My opinion, if you want a Convertible Z06: buy an LS3 Vette convertible and mod the hell out of it. Makes more sense, maybe that's why GM still hasn't done it after four years of production...

Why does it make more sense ? I would rather pay extra for proper engineering and a WARRENTY. I really believe that if it was built people would flock to the dealer to buy them.

Truthfully I hope GM can survive as a company. Their stock price hit a low today not seen since 1955. Brutal. How could there be no GM? The thought is depressing.

No. It just wouldn't seem as raw and it wouldn't be a Z anymore. It would be a 505 hp convertible.
