I guess this site only views late model Corvettes as "muscle cars"..

Why thankyouverymuch. Yeah that is one big pump and I hear it is loud, but this whole damn car is gonna be loud and the exhaust may very well drown out the pump noise.

And actually I don't like the sump the way it is now and it hangs kinda low so I may switch to an aftermarket stainless narrowed tank.

But this car I want to be noisy! The Porsche is supposed to be the mild mannered, drivable, quiet one.

The '69 Camaro's may have a sizable lead in popularity, but I now prefer the looks of a '68 like yours. The front end styling when they're modded like this, without the front bumper etc. is #1 IMO. Very compact, raw. Yours is looking great under the hood also.

Skip

I originally wanted a 69 also, but "settled" on a 68. I am glad I did because I have come to think the exact same thing you posted. Glad I "settled"...

Yeah, gotta lose that front bumper, add a spoiler, and now I love the way it's gonna look with being able to see the intercooler through the vent openings on the valance.

Thanks for the comments.

You are welcome.

I think with the spoiler you'll like the cleaner look.
Here's another of Penny this time obviously without the spoiler (if you haven't seen this pic already)...

Yep. Very familiar with that car. My latest rendering actually uses Penny as the basis photo and was modified to my liking. He normally runs a spoiler on that car too.

Not a tough choice, huh?!

The stock type spoiler will be a nice bug shield for $25.

Nice to see another 1st gen on here with a 406. Procharged would be out of this world. Looks great!

Pretty much every road and highway I drive on now, except in the city.

This is built to be a street car. Maybe a road race in the future as I have always had a desire to do that one day.
