G8 Best Bang For The Price???

I keep seeing your posts, and each one of them makes you look more and more like a tool. Not to mention devoid of any useful car information.

Nothing like American Junk
Look at my stable, do you really think money is an issue? If I wanted a cheap car to go fast.........I would go out and buy a Camaro SS!
ooops.....i'm sure it's working out great for you though
Stay on topic please or I will get this horrible thread locked!

back on topic for one second.....i saw the g8 at the sf auto show at thanksgiving and came away thinking it looked like a great value...decent looking, likely very cheap for the performance you get..agree that it seems like a "poor man's" german performance sedan. which sedan, i have no idea....

Since when was it a debate about cash in the pocket? I completely disagree with your thought process, respectfully of course. Last post in this thread.

For the price, it is definately a bargain. They have a decent, comfortable interior, with nimble handling and brute power. With the LS3 and a TR6060 6 speed tranny, it will be a blast.
You have to remember it's only heads and a cam away from the 450rwhp mark, while being completely streetable and dead reliable. And parts are cheap

Read the thread title. "Best bang for the price".

It seems like a pretty good bang for the buck car to me. As far as American cars go, there are a handful that combine price range, power and relative quality in this way.
The GXP version of the G8 would be the way to go, hard to not like the power, I'm addicted to it for sure. I've not driven one but have pretty much read what's available.

Haha, got me there For some reason I had the whole M5 vs G8 debate engrained in my head.
The G8 is a great car; powerful, nice int, not too bad looking either. I would rather pay more for an M car any day, however. Not sure why, I have just always wanted one.

Theres so much technology in the new 5 series, the two are no where near comparable. You can argue price till your blue in the face, but a G8 still won't have the quality, and fit/finish of a BMW.
You're no fool for wanting an M5!

The GXP's were just released to the dealers this past week (sticker at just under $40k, employee pricing at $37k). They look pretty d*mn good IMO, especially the wheel/brakes. They do need to be lowered though.
