Have you guys seen all these specials on TV for the new G8? They are giving this car away fully loaded for 28k


I can't think of a better car that offers decent performance and a nice platform for some solid numbers for the price. Won't this car bone stock walk all over any other car in its class?

 

I agree and the car looks good as well. The engineers for the big three can build great cars the companies have been run by finance guys not car guys worriying about the analyst on Wall Street instead of great cars...just my .02 worth for the evening.

 

I drove one, for the $$$$ it can't beat beat. It's like a budget M5.

 

How about the G8 GXP with 415 HP and a 6 speed manual. Sticker is around $40K but I am sure you can prob get it for less than that especially when they need to move cars.

 

V8 vs V10? 355 hp vs 500? I understand your 4 door thinking, but I would have to say it's closer in comparison to the 4 door M3.

Just my .02. It's an awesome car nonetheless.

 

415 HP. And I said "budget" M5. At least the GXP has a real tranny too. M3 is too small to compare.

 

M3, IS-F, C63 run circles around the G8 all day every day but also cost twice as much and are in a different class. Like I said before, I don't know what car in the G8's class can compare?

 

How do you know? There hasn't even been official tests of the GXP yet?

And like you said, they sure as hell don't cost 40K loaded....

 

How do I know? Because the G8 isn't running close to low 12's and pulling a .98 on the skid......

Since you are comparing apples to oranges, I'd buy a G8 GXP, add a blower and blow away all those cars and still have a ton of cash in my pocket.

 

Sure, and I would slap on a TRD supercharger making over 500 hp and blah blah blah........at the end of the day, you're still driving a Pontiac

I like the GXP but I haven't seen any for sale around here yet.

 

So your gonna slap on a TRD supercharger and add more money? There goes any logic....what will you be at then, like 75K? If that's your logic add a cam, and heads and full exhaust to the GXP. And will still be like 25K less....
