Wikipedia biased?
I happen to be on Wikipedia a few days ago and looked up Nurburgring lap times. I noticed the ZR1 time of 7:22.4 as run by Jan Magnussen in Oct. 08 is not posted. I searched further into the matter and found out some squirrel is disputing the fact! It has been published in several magazines and is noted on numerous websites. What is there to dispute? This is a fact and needs to be placed on the list. Wikipedia is supposed to be an informational and factual site where people can add to a base of knowledge. I would love to have a bunch a people from this site bombard Wikipedia about this exclusion.

7:22.4 = fake
Sorry guys, this whole ZR1 7:22.4 thing has been confirmed as a complete hoax, made up by some desperate fanboy. Wikipedia was right to deny it consdering there was no GM press release, the admin there have been fending off repeated vandalism on that lap times page.
Road & Track has issued a statement:
"We can safely report that the time of 7:22.4 is absolutely bogus. We finally got confirmation from Tadge Juechter (Corvette Chief Engineer) that Jan Magnussen was State-side during the time period that the car was at the 'Ring, thereby completely negating the possibility of him driving the car during that session.
When we went to print, we couldn't get anybody to deny the time, and due to the margin between Magnussen's time and Merro's 7:26.4, we felt the '22.4 lap time was entirely plausible.
Thanks for revisiting the issue and we appreciate you bringing it to our attention.

LOL exactly. You do realize ANYONE can change ANYTHING on the website whenever they choose?

So very true!
Case in point: They list the Racical SR8 as a regular production vehicle.

They still have the Nissan GTR time listed at a 7:29, which has been proven to be utter B.S. - twice. Porsche tested a truly stock GTR and ran a 7:54, and Automobile magazine in their March '09 edition ran one to a 7:56.

That is funny that a 2 seater go-cart would be considered a production car.

There is still a substantial difference between fanboy drivel and manufacturer drivel.
What's funny is that Wikipedia had the infamous 7:15 nurburgring time on the list for a while. And that was the biggest joke in history, only to be followed by the second biggest joke at 7:29.
