Ha, he has aftermarket wheels so on the outside it doesn't say SVT. I never looked at the door sills etc. He's selling it and moving to the otherside (GM) anyway. He can't take the cars heft anymore.

I'm not much of a truck guy either, but put me down for one of these. With the 6.2 engine of course. And why the hell do I have to wait another almost TWO YEARS for it though? We'll be lucky if any of the big 3 are still alive by then.

Depending on how much the "stealers" want out of them of course... I bet they'll be about $40K sitting on the lot with that good 'ole second sticker "market adjustment" of another $10-15K. If that becomes the case with most "specialty vehicles" which it always does, then...well...never mind.

2 years? the 5.4 will be out the summer. the 6.2 will be out this winter. it should be a little more than 40k. add up a nicely loaded 150 fx4 and you will see its 38k+ msrp. the raptor comes with a lot of those options standard. then add a couple thousand for the suspension and new 4x4 or offroad racing tech. and a few more the the 6.2 option. 45k would be a good guess for the 6.2. about the same price as 250 crew cab.

According to Ford's website, it states the 6.2 won't be available 'til winter 2010...perhaps that means winter 2009/2010. But yeah, I want the 6.2 liter version.

My idea of the ultimate F150 (at least for me) would be the 6.2 in the STX trim level with the Flareside bed and at least 3.73 or better final gearing

3850 is close enough to 4000 pounds. The GT500 is still a porker.

According to all that I have read the Z28 will be that or less. Looks to be getting some carbon fiber panels.

the ss weighs 3830 i believe and the z28 will add a full blower/intercooler and all the needed accesories. you bet it will be more than 4000lbs.

Guess you didn't read what I wrote, it's said that like the ZR1 the Z28 will have some carbon fiber panels to keep weight down. Either way it will be a GT500 killer, the regular SS isn't far off it's performance NA.

and guess what the zr1 is heavier than the z06! because it added the blower!

same wieght similar power(about 40rwhp apart), your correct the gt500 and ss should be close. how close? 12.4 116 vs 12.7 113. bottom line is that they are both heavy!

What does the ZO6 being lighter then the ZR1 have to do with this? I know that. The ZR1 is heavier not just due to the blower and intercooler. There are other factors too. I have read that GM's goal is to not make the Z28 any heavier then the SS.

Bottom line, is yes, they are both too heavy IMO.

But that Z28 looks pretty sexy.
