Ok I missed that. Damn those have some beefy sidewalls..... that's what made me think 17s...

I know, but thats what I was told to put on the car.....if i go with a narrower sidewall....less rotating mass?

yeah, that's really beefy. makes the wheels look smaller.

if you go with a shorter sidewall without going with a larger diameter wheel, you're essentially shortening the overall diameter. not only will this look funny (it'll be obviously too small for the car, plus increase the wheel gap and lowering won't fix it - it'll be in front/behind the wheel, too), but it'll also mess up your speedometer, odometer, etc, because those are programmed for the stock tire circumference. basically, a smaller-diameter tire will have a shorter circumference, so for each rotation of the tire, you aren't traveling as far. but the car won't be able to tell that.

i guess in short... no, don't do that.
