CTS-V runs 11's

Guy has an ECU flash (no pulley mods), intake and 305 MT's...

His best time has been 11.9 @ 122mph (later in thread).

I think that is more of a product of very few (if anyone) running their Mclaren down the drag strip. A 627hp car that weighs ~2,500lbs should run a little faster than 11.9 Great times from the CTS-V. I'm looking forward to seeing what they'll run with full bolt-ons.

Car and Driver tested a McLaren F1 years ago and ran a 11.1 @ 13x, Road and Track ran a heavier US spec'd model at 11.4 @ 12x.

Good luck trying to fit a baby seat and a couple sets of golf clubs in a McLaren F1...

I'm sure it comes down to lack of traction off the line. That's why the ZR1s have trouble pulling amazing times...too much power to the pavement and not enough traction.

I just think it would be fun to juice up a CTSV a bit and pull on some exotics on the hwy (closed course, of course.)

Awesome. Wait4me is a great tuner. 116mph to a 122mph from a tune only, shows you how much the torque management is killing these things. Anybody that hasn't driven the new V even STOCK,...I strongly recomend you drive one. YOu'll be sold. It's the fastest stock 4 door on the planet....and it feels like it.

After driving my neighbors 09' V, no way would I go for the E63 or M5, the car is so good and it has that raw character I love thats missing from the others.

Pretty impressive given the cost, weight and how comfortable it is.
