2010 Mustang question

Has anyone purchased one yet? If so, please post pics.

I like them a lot better than the 2005-2009 Mustangs. What are your thoughts on the newest Mustang?

I like it much better, it is very aggressive looking, I think the rear overhang is still a little long. It would be nice if it had IRS, but they have been beating the solid axle into submission and doing a good job with it.

It is nice the see the American car makers producing some good and exciting products. I find myself cruising by American car dealerships more and more lately.

I like them better but there have been lots of rumors of a 5.0 400 hp version coming in 2011. With that motor and the 600lb advantage over the new SS, it will be the new king.

I don't know about that, they aren't gonna let it be quicker then the GT500 and that isn't much quicker then the SS....so who knows.

That logic certainly makes sense, but if the rumors are accurate, the numbers don't lie. Perhaps it's more likely it would come in around 350-360hp or if they do bring out a 400 hp (BOSS edition?), they crank up the hp on the GT500. At the end of the day, it's all hearsay. If I were in the market I would think about holding out a year and see what unfolds. That is all I was getting at.

the 2011 mustang gt will be good for mid twelves in the 112 range. bout a 2/3 tenths and 5mph slower than the 3850lb 500rwhp 2010 gt500. the 2011 gt500 will be faster than the 2010 gt500 as well!

From what ive seen the fastest time that SS has pulled off was 13.0, other guys are getting mid to low 13s out of it.

Its a pig and a stock 2010 GT would be a close race

I rented a 6-cyl 2010 Mustang yesterday on the east coast while I was traveling for business. I thought the car was awesome. Plenty of power, great design in the interior, fantastic functions/options, etc. I thought it handled and drove really, really well too, especially for being the 6-cyl model.

Maybe with a good driver. Not one "magazine test" has gotten a GT500 in the mid 12's that I have read. I've seen two at the strip, the best time I saw was 12.4 on DR's. Either way I doubt Ford is gonna get little bro be so close to big bro. Or who the hell is gonna spend another 15K on a GT500?

Hot Rod got a 12.9. My friend with just a cold air and a DR has gotten 12.50's already.

the gt500 should be 100lbs lighter in 2011! that along with the power(540hp) of the kr, the gt500 2011 should be capable of the high 11's probably close to 118.
that is still going to be a good 5 mph faster than the 400hp mustang gt in 2011.

i would not be surprised to see a few high 12 at 111/112 at the temps go down this fall. they are .3 and 5mph faster than the mustang gt at this time.

How is the GT500 gonna be 100 pounds lighter? Either way, high 11's for 540+ HP isn't good in my book. IF they even run that, the best times the current cars get are mid 12's stock. The weight just kills that car IMO. I love that blue they have now though....

Guys on Camaro5 and 5thgen have already gotten 12.80's bone stock. Cars make nice power, but they too are heavy. A buddy has a SS with a cold air, and DR's and has hit 12.50's already. And he's not the best driver.

It went a best run of 12.511@108.58 with a 1.665 60 foot.
I did manage a best MPH of 108.97 in another run.

Track temp was 80 when I got there and 65 when I left.
