1996 Turbo Grand Marquis at DriveWay Austin

So I am new to this site, but I figured you all might get a kick out of seeing my project car out on a road course. Here is a short clip of it at DriveWay Austin being driving by Bill Dollahite. It held up ok for a couple of laps, I still need to get a tire/rim package and I might need to beef up the cooling system if I really do plan on running heats.

We had a Marauder that was great. Added a whipple charger, a 6 speed, headers 3" exhaust w/X Pipe. It shocked the hell out a lot of cars. I put higher rate springs swaybars & shocks. It never handled that great. But it ruled the highway. I miss that car.

The car is a 1996 MGM with a stock motor. I am in the works of planning out a long block built motor for it. This car was planned out by myself, but to say I built it would be a lie, I have had many hands on that car and too many people to thank for all the work that has gone into it. This is one of those cars that just makes you grin... I bet I will grin more though once it traps around 120mph

The specs are as follows:

6.6 lbs. of Boost (currently)
PP 67MM DBB Turbo
50mm HKS SQV Black BOV
44mm Tial Waste Gate
Blitz Boost Controller
AEM Wideband

Built Transmission
3000 Stall TC 10.25"
Aluminum Driveshaft
Trac-Loc Carbon Clutches
Rear Diff Girdle

Slotted Brakes and upgraded pads
upgraded sway bars, bilstien shocks, PI springs, air ride (in the back)
poly bushings for all control arms
Boxed Control Arms
Re-Enforced Rear Frame

and more I am probably forgetting...

Black out all the chrome trim and throw some all black CCW Classics and you will have yourself a sick grocery getter.

Here is another video I recently took with a GoPro HD of my professor taking a ride along with Joe one of the instructors at DriveWay Austin. To say the least she knows a little bit more about what I am researching!
