New Z06 info!
#17
Nobody knows the price - even GM. Remember, the car won't hit the market until Fall 2005 , almost a year after official unveiling. Plenty of time for GM bean counters and marketers to get internet Corvette board reaction and set a price that moves enough units to make the business plan work. They remember well the sales plunge the 1990 -1994 ZR1 took after the first year - it was priced at $105K in today's dollars .
If I were a betting man, I would count on a convertable Z06 ( despite hard core Vetters revulsion ) in year two to really move the metal esp in car nut- filled south Florida, Texas and southern California since that works for the 996 Turbo and Ferrari 360 .
