DC Performance Presents ACRX Gen4 Headers
When the generation 4 Vipers came into production, we were very interested in how these new engines would perform with a long tube merge design header. we figured with the higher rpm and variable valve timing that an equal length merge design might produce the best performance.
In the past when we built a head and cam package for an engine we opted for a merge header for peak power and a tri-y header for midrange power. On the new engine we thought a merge design might be better for both.
Since we have had a good relationship with American Racing Headers and when a close customer of ours Todd Gomez (Bad Boyz Garage) asked us about what we liked about their design, he indicated that they should design the new ACRX header. He pitched it to SRT and the rest is history.
Fast forward to now, the new ACRX header is now available to the public through a select dealer network. DC Performance is proud to be one of these dealers. If you want the header system preferred by SRT for the new Viper. This is it!
The new ACRX header is an easy to install stainless two-piece design, it features equal length 1 ¾ inch primary tubes with a merged collector. It can be supplied with or without hi-flow catalyst and works with the production mufflers.
Attached is a dyno sheet and pictures of the new header. Results were 50rwhp and 54rwtrq (without catalyst). Besides the impressive power numbers, the price will surprise you.
Please PM for pricing.
We are taking orders now and should be able to start shipping in about 1 week!
Note: This system is for “off road use” only.

Is this the exact exhaust that the ACR-X uses? Because I just saw and heard an ACR-X on the street and it was un-freaking-believable sounding. The Gallardo behind it sounded like a Civic in comparison.
I was blown away. Simply awesome.

The system shown is the exact same system used on the ACRX, it used the stock rear exhaust system and mufflers. We can supply this system with or without Cats.
Attached is a Video of these headers being tested by SRT, they were very impressed with the results.

50hp and 54rq gain is impressive for just one mod if Im reading right. Seems to indicate that with full exhaust, header, intake and tune these Gen IV's will be over 600rwhp on simple bolt ons.....
On the older gens you would have needed to open the engine and do some $erious work or add Nitrous, SC or Turbo to see 600+ at the wheels....These engines have really come a long way to be able to give 600+ NA with just bolt ons....With a setup like this a Gen IV should easily crack 180mph in the mile run. Stock [08-09]I believe they hit around 175mph in the mile. The 2010 with the better 5th gear ratio should do better then 175 without mods...They are brutes but I got alot of love for these cars.

The new generation Viper really responds to modifications well. You need to be careful with the new electronics, but otherwise there is another 100hp in an otherwise stock engine.
In regards to transmission ratios, we have .80 .60 conversions for all the other year models. It really tightens up the box and allows you to test top speed in 6th!
For those looking for more power, we have upgrade kits to bring all year Viper's to the new power levels and much more.
