ZR1 pricing and depreciation?

ZR1 pricing and depreciation?
Looking at possibly getting a ZR1.
It looks like used pricing is still pretty up there ... which is fine with me as long as the rate of depreciation holds.
Any thoughts on this from someone who is in the Corvette market and has been looking for a ZR1 for a few months?
I probably will not keep it longer than 6-8 months, I'm ok with losing about $10K in that period.
Anything I should know about ZR1s? Options? Specific year infos?
Thanks

The ZR1's seem to be holding their values pretty well hard to find a used one for less then 99K. The lowest priced ZR1 (2009) on AutoTrader.com came in at $99,950 with 7,500 miles. Not bad considering brand new they are ~115K.

I think you will be OK, if in your head you are willing to take the $10k hit. You may not lose that much, but when vette's start dropping, they drop hard. I know you like white, and didn't the 10's have a white option? If so, they will be the best re-selling vette. Ron Fellow's Z06's still hold a ton of value cause there just are no white ones out there.

check autotrader, craigslist, dealer lots for used one, that should give you a rough estimate of how much they are depreciating. There's no better proof than looking at the readily visible evidence that is out there.

I bought mine to keep. You should look for a used one that someone really needs to get out of. They depreciate just like any other car in it's class. They are still being built & are not too hard to find. I found one in 2 days

Because they are the latest and greatest, they are holding their value fairly well. With that said, they are still a Vette and will no doubt fall like a rock once something better comes alone. My guess is you'll be safe if you get in and out of one within the next year, after that, expect to lose pretty big.
