viper header install

hey guyz chris here
i was wondering if anyone no's how many hours it takes to install headers on a gen 3 viper. i got a quote for 10 hours . the brand of header is american racing stepped header. I wouldnt mind doin it myself either if it isn't difficult, itll give me sumthing to do on the weekend.

10 hours is about right. I don't remember if you need to drop the motor out of its mounts for the left bank but it sticks in my head.

While your in there do the high flow cats, and the 08 Exhaust or cross over cutout. It really helps. Though if your onto headers thats more then likely done.

Also check that the flex pipe is in good shape and that the headers output (Which i think on those is 3') match the rest of the cats, they are 2.5 from the factory.

I think you have to pull out the motor but not sure. If you are going to do it please take sound clips of before and after I might look into installing headers in mine

no need to pull the engine. might wanna unbolt the motor mounts but thats it. 8-10 hours is right

will do...cj350..i also decided to do the install my self. todd at a&c performance hooked me up nice, american raciing stepped headers and corsa cat back for just over 3k. he also wrote up a step by step write up for me on how to do the install.
