06-08 Z06 actual selling prices?

what are Z06's actually selling for? is it close to the figures on cars.com/autotrader? i just want to get a feel if importing a car from the states is worth it or not.

I see 06/07's with around 20k going for 45-48.

thanks

I bought my 06 C6Z with 23k miles in May of this year for 42,000. Unfortunately I went through Carmax and had a bad experience (I will never consider or recommend them to anyone) with them, but overall am happy with the car. It had a few issues, but nothing their warranty hasn't already paid for.

I have seen a lot of them go for 45-50k. They hold their value quite well.

You can get a clean 2006 zo6 for about $42,000. Anything more than that you are crazy bc you can find clean low mile 07's and 08's from $43,000-$46,000. Seen a few 09's with under 10,000 miles sell for $49,000-$51,000. Hope this helps.

If you take your time you can find a nice one even into the high 30's. In my opinion Corvetteforum is the best place to find a goo deal and the cars are normally taken care of better by a enthusiast not someone who just traded it into the dealer. But if you find the car you have been looking for at $2-3k more pick it up and enjoy it.

It is true that you can find a "decent" one in the high 30's, BUT keep in mind it may run great, but its going to need a LOT of little things. Most likely the front emblem will be fadded, the black plasitc peices that attach to the front fenders will be fadded and need to be replaced. The headlights and fog lights will most likely be dusted with rock chips and sun fadded. 95% chance the front chin spoiler will be trashed, and the interior is also something you have to look close at. So IMO step up the extra $3,000-$4,000 to buy a NICE one. Also dont let milage scare you, I have seen a couple 2006's with 50k miles that were extremely well taken care of and looked nicer than several 06's I looked at with under 20k miles.....

thanks for the replies gentlemen.... Im just trying to get a feel if it pays off to buy from the states.... What im looking for is a 06-08... max 20k miles... Red in colour, hopefully black interior... I also do want a nice clean car.. I do not want anything beat up.. Id rather spend more and get what i want rather than settling. Also what it seems to me , is that it pays off to buy an 08/09 from the states far more than it pays off for an 06/07.. Anyway ima keep looking into this.I will be lurking corvette forum... Thanks for the tip..Keep the insight coming if anyone else has any... And I also plan to buy something close to Ontario, nothing far like florida, or texas n the other side o the states.. I think theres good deals to b had in michigan and illinois..

I am thinking about picking up an 06-08 Z06 as well (maybe around summer time). Anyway, I have been checking out market for a month or so. I see a decent amount of 06's sell for very low 40's or even high 30's (obviously listed a little bit higher). Clean 08's seem to be selling in the mid-high 40's depending on trim level (1lz, 2lz or 3lz).

I would like to find an 06 Lemans Blue or an 06-08 Victory Red <20K miles ...

I was bidding on a nice example 06 2LZ with 29k miles on Ebay the other week. I bid up to $35k and while I wanted to wait until mid-2011 to buy another toy figured if I won that I would be happy with the deal. I didn't win, but it sold (without reserve) for $36,500. There are deals to be had out there.
