Thanks guys. Here is my final session from Streets of Willow Springs last Sunday. First day on a real road course. Had a blast.

Dave,
You have a TT, correct?
I'm curious how this compares, handling-wise, to the Porsche.
I know it is purpose-built, but just curious as to your thoughts.
I would love to build something like this for a nice road warrior, using late model engine/ecu technology.
Granted, it doesn't have the creature comforts of any late model sports car, but for those Sunday drives, I can imagine it would be a blast.
Looks very nice, great job!

I doubt this can ever be made to handle as well as the Porsche to be honest. I am still just leaf springs in the back, whereas most of my friends and better equipped 1st gen Camaros are running aftermarket 3 and 4 links or torque arms. And yes most people are putting LSx motors in theres as well. I am on the fence with that. My 377 "destroker" is a revving monster with the solid roller. Currently have rev limiter set at 7400. Not bad for a gen 1 small block chevy.
I drive it on the street fairly often (would more if logistics weren't the issue) and love it. But the track seems to be where my new passion is. I think I just got hook, line & sinkered.
Hope you're well. I don't post much anymore, but I still lurk and watch what you and Mikey and others are still up to.

Thanks Brian I DID have a 996TT but had to sell it early last year. Business was hurting and needed to raise a little cash and stop the bleeding so to speak. Actually sold my other higher dollar 68 Camaro then too. Shored things up and bought this project later last year and made a few tweaks to it to make it road and track worthy.

hehe, You're right, it looks like you've found a new passion!
The track is where I'd love to be, but not in the cards right now.
Thanks for the info.
I really like the look of the old musclecars, and even if I had to trade off some of the ultimate handling/creature comforts of the late models, it would be nice to build something unrestricted by current EPA reg's.
Looks like you have your priorities straight, and that's the most important thing.
As for me, I haven't been up to much!
Mike is the go-to guy when it comes to speed, lately!
Glad to hear you are well, and best to you as time moves forward!
