Thanks again everyone!
Little update pics:
20% tint
Added two tone leather console lid cover
Also just got 2011 carbon edition suede steering wheel, shift **** and boot with blue stitch. I think the interior will look totally different from the original interior. I will update the interior pics after install them.
I also installed 3/8" spacers on all corners and lowered all the way on stock bolts. It looks perfect now! I will take some pics and post them later.

Thanks. I'm about 20~30 min from you. I know it's too late of the season but are there any meets around the town? Anyway I hope to see you sometime.

Weather looks good this weekend, so I'll be out and about with her.
There's a meet every Sat am in West Chester, Rt 202 and Dilworthtown Rd. And this looks new... http://buckscountyexotics.com/index.html .I think Saturdays at Walmart in Harleysville are done for the season.

Another update:
I just installed steering wheel, shift **** and boot yesterday. They look great and feel great too. I love them a lot! However I need to dye white stitching on radio bazel and console lid with blue to match them. After that, they will look even better!
Here are few quick shots.

IIRC, 2008 the transmission and steering were updated, roof issue was fixed, minor interior changes. 2009 or 2010 has a slighty larger oil tank, and launch control was added. I don't think Le Mans blue was offered after 2007. Hopefully someone else knows for sure, but each year has some tweaks or updates.
IMO, you can't go wrong with any year. Do your homework, and go with the newest one you can afford.

to me the 06s are the best.
basically the 06s are the fastest while the newest years handle better. for me straight line speed is the biggest factor. as far as handling a stock 06 or stock 12 are both faster than 90% of the owners capabilities.
06s weighed an honest 3130 pounds and trapped an honest 125-127 in the quarter
07s weighed 3170 pounds and trapped 124.5-126.5 in the quarter
08s weighed 3200 pounds and trapped 124-126 in the quarter
09-11s weigh 3230 pounds and trapped 123.5-125.5 in the quarter
the z06 carbon is 3300 pounds and trapps 122.5-124.5 in the quarter.
To me it kinda pisses me off that 6 years ago Im reading about all these 125-127 mph times but nowadays after all the sound deadening and steering racks and zr1 suspension yada yada yada the car gained weight and now almost everything you read is 123 mph.
450 rwhp was never really impressive. the viper had been doing it since 03 and the o3 cobra was doing it with just a pully and tune since 03,
it was the z06s power to weight ratio that made it so awesome.
they shoulda bumped up the power with a slightly revised camshaft like they did on the 01-02 c5z06. say 520 HP to offset the weight gaining.
nevertheless amazeing cars. But the short awnswer is if you want faster straight line speed outta the box the early years are the way to go. if you want supeior handling outta the box the later years are the way to go.
sadly if they had never made the zr1 the z06 platform would be a solid 540 hp by now. but you gotta have some reason to fork over an extra 30 grand for the zr1. so its still 505 hp
