Ford GT or Aventador
#16
You can buy red or white at the lower end due to their relative lack of rarity - that lower end has been > $150k this year, with variation (mostly)up or (more rarely)down due to miles/mods. Of course, there are fire sales, but a fire sale on a FGT with miles might be $140k.
Prices are not likely to go down as more are exported/wrecked. I'd happily buy-up all the non-wrecked FGT's I could find @ $140k.
Lot's of guys staring at their garage queens with no miles.

The three Gulf color schemed cars currently for sale (that I'm aware of) are >$225k each.

Fgt for me.. It looks a lil sexier and is only going up in value.
DO YOU SEE MANY PEOPLE RUSHING OUT TO OWN A 05 MERCIE? Id rather have my viper than a 05 mercy. Let alone a fgt.
What about a 04 gallardo? You can get those for 80k easy now.
The aventador is amazeing but in 5 years it will just be the old lambo. Fgt will always be the fgt. And yes 7 years from now I wont be surprised at all if the fgt is worth more than the avetador..
For me it would be fgt. Thats basically a living legend at this point

Both are great cars, but for me personally I'd go with the TT Ford GT all day long! The fact that it's still a Ford is a plus to me -- much easier to have serviced (here for me, no Lambo dealer for 100+ miles) plus I live right near Underground Racing...

I owned a 2006 ford gt in black, so let me give out he positives and the negatives.
positives
1) one of the best looking cars you will ever lay your eyes on. Classic beauty.
2)Will always go up in value.
3)When you drive this car, it will be like driving in a rolling parade. Everyone loves you, and you are the coolest kid on the block. (not just another arrogant ferrari owner).
4)6 speed manual is sooo smooth and it hits 60 in first gear and with some mods, it's still bullet proof, as the ford mechanic told me, which is true. The car was meant to be driven.
5)did i mention how everyone loves you.
6)exclusivity. This car is very very rare. It's the cherry on top. Its a museum piece thats sitting in your garage.
Now the Negatives
1)The doors are a *****. The passengers will hit their heads at least once or twice. And the driver will probably hit it more often. Very hard to get out of when parked next to another car.
2)The interior is not as nice as other super cars. it already looks vintage. The ac ducts are the same that you would find in the ford f150.
3)the key is the same one they give you, if you buy a ford escort.
4)No electronic aids to save you .(it would be nice to have that option)
5)The stock exhaust is very very quiet.
6)When the weather is hot, the ac might not cool you down. It did not work that well. (you should check with other owners on this one.)
Either way you cannot go wrong. I just think the new Lambo is a monster. And if you have the money, buy both. The ford gt will not go down in value, and they are both two completely different cars. One is a prelude to what the future holds for the Lambo's, and the other, is car built, to relive the glory of a by gone era, and Ford's passion to recreate one of it's greatest racing cars of it's time.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

Ford definitely. With a little work you can be faster then the Lambo (with a good driver) + it will hold its value over time.. Here is one all done with low miles..

R8 V10 is the clear 'daily-ready' winner (or a 997TTS). F430 is dead-tech (vs 458). Gallardo is an option, but are pretty slow without serious coin. Murci's aren't cross shopped with FGT's too often I don't think.
Regardless, I'm not interested in spending $400k on a car that will be worth 1/2 of that in 6 or 7 years, regardless of how 'nice' the Audi, er Aventador is.
I'll keep driving my 'good-value' FGT.

With the above said I don't care what it's worth today because I'm not selling. Even if it was worth half today it wouldn't matter if I sold it as it has been worth every penny I have in it or that it "lost".

I like both cars. FGT is a classic and Is appreciating for the most part. Appreciation/depreciation out the way for both cars, I'd choose the Aventador. I love the FGT styling and potential performance. But I've been smitten by the Aventadors overall styling/performance.
It's styling blends the outrageousness of the Countach, the sweet elegance of the Diablos profile and side window treatment and the gorgeous but brutal presence of the Murcielago. The Aventador is affecting me now almost the way the Countach did a few decades ago when I was a 10 year old boy.
