It seems to have some design elements taken from a couple of cars... from the rear (dead on) it looks like an Aston Martin DBS.... from the front it has a bit of the Alfa Romeo 8C...and it definitely has some signature Viper styling. Overall I like it...and I am sure it looks better in person.
Also, the 40hp bump is nice... although they should have bumped it past the '13 GT500 for bragging rights....especially since the ZR1's power rating will likely increase with all the new competition.

i think its a total home run. considering fiat owns chrysler and ferrari, i would be worried about my job if i was the designer of the f12! seriously, the viper looks more exotic than the ferrari. new vette has a tough act to follow
supposedly has carbon fiber clamshell, roof, and trunk. electronic shocks, launch control from the steering wheel, and adjustable stability/traction control. its lighter, stiffer, and more powerful so it willl be significantly faster than last version yet infinitely more comfortable/usable. has a track pac option that will include upgraded brakes, etc. will eventually need dual clutch option and carbon brakes.
enen though i probably wouldnt buy one, it makes me proud to be american. U-S-A!

The design team incorporated design elements of the first generation viper. I was never a fan of the first generation.
I like the interior in this new model but am not a fan of the exterior design. The hood looks like it 's melting, the front lights look too small relative to the massive front, fake vents/scoops, appears too rounded in too many places.
The second generation (2003-2011) design was nicely sqaured off in neccessary areas to give the car a more free flowing design from front to back. This viper looks awkward like the first generation.
IMO this design was not executed very well. Maybe it will look better in person

I guess the carbon fiber technology they used for the body is top notch and better than anything in the industry (thinner yet stronger than the LFA body etc) and its from a company out of Michigan!
