Hennessey Venom GT Acceleration #s - WOW!!

WOW!! is all I can say at those kind of raw numbers from a "stock" vehicle of any sort. Obviously those kind of numbers can be had from highly modded vehicles so many of us own, but this coming from a manufacturer fresh out the box is nuts.
If u guys don't go to the link here are the raw numbers they got from it. Note - they're using a highly modified Lotus Elise type body with a mid engined 7.0L TT V8 from the vette making 1224 hp.
0-124mph - 7.96 sec
0-186mph - 13.48 sec
0-230mph - 19.96 sec
Obviously most of us harbor our own opinions of some of the things Hennessey has done in the past, but regardless of your thoughts on the man/company itself for any production vehicle to pull these kind of numbers is incredible.

Those were the only #s listed from the article... I'm sure someone with a higher IQ than me could do a rough estimate of what it may be from those numbers though
Edit - A loose estimate i came up with in my head based off a 0-60 time of around 2.6-3.0 sec being that it's such a high power RWD car would be in the neighborhood of 5 - 6 sec 60-130 time.. It's the way it keeps pulling after that though is what to me is so impressive.
Quick comparison : Koenigsegg Agera R 0-186 = 14.53 sec / Veyron SS 0-186 = 16.7 sec

If all their numbers they've been posting up are true (Hennessey unfortunately has been known to exaggerate a bit) then I can't see why this car isn't capable of putting up top speed #s in that area. Also the gearing and aero needs to be there to get up to that kind of speed. A lot of people don't realize what it really takes to get up to those sort of speeds and coming from a vehicle sold as a "stock" production car it needs to be able to slow down to drive normally afterwards. A sh*tload of variables come into play at those kind of speeds, much more than just raw power. I'm sure most of us that have done mile/high speed events have seen our fair share of huge power cars(1k - 2k+ whp) that don't get anywhere near the MPH they were hoping for, when lower power cars fly right by them.
