HOWEVER the Noble doesnt have service readily available and have been rumored to be maintenance nightmares. I would prefer the Noble, but for a track car, you have to have a tuner or tech available and the noble doesnt offer much of that access.

I am more interested in how the traction level will keep up with the increase in power. It will be a beast but you had better believe there will be used Z06's making more power for less money invested, so it will have to be a complete package that offers more than just power.

i am not sure if anyone has mentioned this(quickly browesed the responses), the supercharged z06 is NOT the current z06 427 motor with a blower. the new engine will be the new 6.2 motor with blower and the tremec 6060 6 speed tranny(this tranny will also be available on all 08 manual corvettes from what i have been told).
this past summer(06) the blown 6.2 put down 663rwhp in a gm mule vehicle. very similar to the spy photos that are out now. i dont believe gm will use this tune for thier stock vehicle but make no mistake it will be very easy to get 750-800 crank horsepower out of this beast!
also gm is planning a blowing a camaro too, to compete with the gt500. the preliminary rumors are 400+ hp for the n/a v8 and 550+hp for the s/c v8 camaro!

the car is going to be released. without a doubt (hopefully) i couldnt justify spending that amount of money on a gm, although the shelby gt500's went for that much for the first 50 or so, it will be interesting to see how well the car puts power to the ground and resale value (especially if its going to be such a limited production car)
