Heres my dads current, 2004 Vert. Bought it after he had to the sell the 996 Turbo. He also owned a mag red vert along with the 993 turbo before he bought the 996tt.

It's been lowered since this photo.

My dad is the corvette collector...he has three. 64 white with red interior convertible...2001 Pewter coupe and a 2006 Z06. I have tried to convince him to move into the Italian or German Sector...but he just won't do it.

Thanks! He is restoring a 57 Chevy Bel Air right now...otherwise he would have probably picked up a 58 black with silver coves and red interior vette by now. He wants to fill his garage before retirement!

I had a 99 black c5. It was a good all around car. It was very smooth and comfortable on the highway, fun gadgets etc. The part that i liked the most about it was the ability to take the roof off and throw it in the trunk in 30 seconds. It was also a common enough looking car i could pretty much park it any where and not worry about it. On the other hand performance wise it was pretty unspectacular in every way. Mediocre power, breaking, handling. I guess i didnt realize how much it lacked cornering capabilies till i got my GTS.

I had a '91 for about 6 months. I wasn't a big fan of that car - rough ride with lots of shakes and rattles.

I had a 2002 Z06, and sold that in less than a year. I missed that car, so I traded my M3 for a new 04 Z06. Had a lot of work done to it, including a procharger. The car had 554RWHP, and was a real looker. Had about 30K in aftermarket into it. I sold it with 6K miles with all the goodies for a whopping $38K!

In between the 2 vettes, I had a VERY nice 996TT. I find the Z more tossable, but the TT a more enjoyable ride.

Here's a couple of pics of my last Z.

I had a couple of mid to late 80's Corvettes. Fun cars, for sure, but I really like the feel of my 996 better.

Went into the showroom to check on the latest models when the Avalanche was in for service, and my first impression was that they were HUGE, at least compared to my car.

That new Z06 is really hard to ignore though, and I learned a long time ago to never say "never".

I have the 350z for now but have no doubt in my mind that my next car will be a Vette of some sorts. I'm more oriented towards the C5 Z06 for its sheer power and feasible price. I've also thought about a black C6 vert but who knows. Can't go wrong either way! I would most definitely be buying them in manual though! Drove my buddy's C6 auto and could only imagine how much more fun it would be in stickshift! Hello second gear downshift
