A local guy made 880 rwhp with his Firebird. He claims it's only running 93, but I'm having a very hard time believing that. Car isn't stroked or bored...yet he claims it makes pump gas numbers almost as high as TT Vipers do.
Is he full of it? Anyone know?

The highest I've heard of is 550 rwhp on pump gas being forced injection. You have to go with the boring or stroking from as far as I know to get higher than that.
Is it twin turboed?
I have seen a 2002 Anniversary Edition Camaro SS supercharged, stroked/bored/cammed (Everything) dyno at 995 rwhp. So it's possible, but highly doubtful without the boring or stroking.
Anyone else's thoughts?

That makes no sense. Never seen a roots-style blower on a firebird/camaro.
But you can get stupid power out of a stock displacement forged 346. 880rwhp on pump IS possible with the right setup. (Naturally, this is not an NA motor).

How big a blower? Built internals? I've seen stock bores in the 700's. They say the stock motor will handle 700 with just new valve springs. Not sure if I believe it though.
Low boost (6 lbs) LS1 TT motors i've seen in the mid 600's
Blower only LS2 cars (no cams, headwork, etc) hit 500's

And no he's not making near 900rwhp on 93 with an LSx motor, no way, no how.
