Yep, it's a 4.3L single turbo. This is what is causing me questions. I am going to do some of the reversible mods so I can return it to stock at any time. I also bought it to drive it. Under 5k mile trucks are only selling for $25k (what they sold for new in '91) so it's really not an investment vehicle. It's a low cost quick and fun truck that I've always wanted in my collection. It's the 2nd vehicle I've bought that I do not see ever selling (the 1st is the NSX).

Always loved the Syclones and Typhoons. I've looked for a nice example before but they are tough to find. Looks like you have one! I don't doubt the 0 -80 race against the Z06 either. 0 - 60 is basically going to depend entirely on the driver of the Z. If he really knows what he's doing and he gets a perfect launch, he'll pull out on you probably by around 45 to 50 mph. If not, you're right, he's going to play catch up and will probably go around you at 60 to 70. Nice run.

Wrecked it last weekend... Apparently, the brakes aren't ABS and when they lock up, they really lock up. My Z06 kicks your 16 year old trucks *** from 60 to 0.

Non-abs cars should be left to people who know how to drive.

PWNED!

Syclone's were the first production trucks ever to have ABS. It uses a three channel, 4WABS system. That said, it was NOT a good ABS system. Most people take their system out as it malfunctions causing the wheels not to brake when you press the brakes! It saves some weight and it's easier/cheaper to just take it out than to fix it. I fixed mine (preventive maintenance actually). Syclones have a better stopping distance without ABS also... but there is that little issue of locking up the brakes if you don't know what you're doing.

A Z06 will definitely kick a Sy's @$$ from 60 to 0... but at least my roof stays on doing it.

this is seriously worse than high school. dude all TTony said was he could give a Z06 trouble off a launch. Not once did i see him say he won? Or he would win, or anything of the sort. I wouldnt doubt that he did for a number of reasons.
1. Vette drivers are primarily old and slow
2. Vette drivers havent driven anything that fast
3. When they do go "that fast" they never want to do it again.
4. They forgot that they have to shift
5. They forgot that tires lose traction
6. They stall..
Theres all kinds of ****..hell ive smoked c5 zo6's thru 5 gears in my GT, im sure i can get a c6 z06 out of the hole for a short time.

nice sy btw. theres one in my neighborhood that doesnt leave its garage....ever...its a shame

dang i didnt know there were comedians here...

its easy to sum you up and some rich, cocky *****..but its funny how you use yourself to sum up corvette drivers as a whole. The average age of a Corvette owner is 40-50 years old, midlife crisis, trade their 40 yr old wife for 2 20 year olds, etc. Its impossible to ignore the facts and ignorant to say its not true. Not too mention that 70%+ Corvettes sold are automatics. And now you feel the urge to talk crap about me having a Mustang. Sorry for not being a rich 34 year old, i guess you feel the need to flash money around to sound cool. But i earn what ive got and will eventually get the things i really want, best part is i do all the work myself, and do have to go pay someone else to do and know nothing about what is done. (not saying you in particular but the majority). Nor did i say ANYTHING about my car being super fast, but ya its quick, and its tuned right. Haha, and the best part of ALL your wonderful comments was ur stab at only posting 20 comments. Ive got plenty better things to do than bench race on an online forum, excuse me for not spending all my time in front of a screen.

Ouch...

Dude, lighten up. Your getting all up in arms over a stupid post on the internet. Your the one attacking Vette owners. One jumps in to defend himself and you start slamming who I am and how I make my money? And you called me a "rich, cocky, *****"? Keep it about cars and don't get personal and I won't get personal. It's just a car forum.

id like to get a run with you ive only ran modded sy/ty's and i can launch with them and then start pulling pretty hard on the topend

-2002 4.3L 2door blazer, remote mount MPT70 @ 11psi (7.7@86mph in the 1/8th) truck is all stock except for the turbo kit, a shift kit, and drag radials.

are you a member on syty.net yet? if so i would join. i would get a built transmission first preferabbly just swap it to a 4l80e instead of that 700r4 you got in there now.

as for mods- Boost controller, chip, intake, injectors, fuel pump. you can just leave the injectors, fuel pump and chip in. no one will know its there. and a wideband or a good tune. stock yall run about 13psi right? i know guys are running 20psi on that stock 17c mitsu turbo over there. i would really think about putting @ least a 20g turbo on it. much better topend (in relation to the stock turbo). besides a 20g looks almost exactly like your stocker.
