New Vantage for $1500 a month
So I saw an ad in the DuPont registry this month to lease a new Vantage for $1500 a month. It was something like $2500 down, 7500 miles a year, 36 month lease. It was a AM Dealer on the east coast. Sounds like a great deal, especially if the lease is transferrable. Anyone else heard of this deal?

The Aston Lease is market test Nationwide, we all can do the lease and originally it was only 07 coupes but now has rolled over to the 08's but it will expire at the end of June. It is 7500 miles per year for 36 months.
any questions I would be happy to answer Tom theinz@astonmartinoftampa.com

Damn, I bet those Vantages will be returned somewhat beat up with just a tad under 270,000 miles after 36 months
I can see the ads in 36 months: "Aston Martin Vantage '08 270,000 miles, high miles due to stupid salesman who put it in writing on 6speed 36 months ago, otherwise like new and pristine, lease once again for 36 months and yet another 270,000 miles or $3,600.00 cash. For that money we also have a beat up Camry if you need realiability. Please see Tom who now cleans the bathrooms but put us in this position in the first place and is taking care of it from the broom closet and his personal cel phone"

If I drive it 750 miles per month can I have it for $150?

Typo's cost money, you should know it, your are in sales...
If I were the AM manager and my salespeople intrude any type of forum with mistakes these large they would be out of the door...
... of course I don't know Tom, and if some here says he's a nice person I don't doubt it... and the best to you Tom as this is nothing personal...
...also my comedian stint is stupid, but I have nothing to loose as I don't sell AM's... and far as "these cars sell themselves" well, I'll take it with a grain of salt

I'd just like to point out, although I thought the 750 miles a month bit was funny, your are is pirate speak for You're.

I was just reading an article on a very large dealer-broker here on the east coast and the reporter asks his take on many different franchises, which he sells for owners, appraises and also finds buyers. I'm pretty sure it said he's moved about 5 billion worth of car dealerships in the past 15 years, so it's a good bet he knows of what he speaks. Anyway, his comment about A-M was something like a bloodbath waiting to unfold and piles of Vantages backed up. I'm sure some or many here will be quick to poo-poo these statements, but he had no interest in the comments about the different franchises, so I'll bet he's more right than not. Buyers market !!!

I see stacks of new Porsche's at dealers too ... the entire "high end" car market has taken a hit to some degree or another ... kinda funny their SUV is outselling the 911 ... never thought I would see that (per figures published in Panorama).

The dealer I went to a few weeks ago had no Cayenne V8's left and was awaiting 09's. They had some V6's still there. On the showroom floor was 2 GT3 RS's, a CGT and a black 997 GT-2. I'm sure there were plenty of other 911's in inventory.
