09 Vantage high price increase

Does it strike some folks weird that 09 Vantage go for $135k while you can get some good deals on 08 Vantage for $95k? Quotes are from dealers in CA (nor cal). These are coupes, not the roadsters.

The sticker (MSRP) on my '07 with sportshift was $133.5k. It is a fully loaded coupe (every option) so $135k does not seem that far out of line. At $135k it likely does not have many options.

Sportshift is quite expensive at 3~k IIRC.
A 136k~ coupe with manual already has ALL the other options.

The price has increased in 09 by about 3k~ base as well.

The 95k 08 Vantages you are referring to are demo cars. including a 20k discount 5k of which is an incentive from Aston.

I contact the AM dealer at MA. They have a "brand new" 07. The told me 100K and told me that was a great deal. I emailed him back and told him. He must be joking! I also told him keeping me update for the price. I haven't heard back from him yet.

He doesn't know he just lost a potental buyer.

There are STILL 07s?
Most of these will likely be dumped at or below cost before the end of the year, or at the latest, by the end of Q1 09.
They've been burning money is dealers' pockets for over 52 weeks!

That's why I was very wondering. At least that's what I have told.
There is only one AM dealer at MA. You can check it out as well.

Lucky - Actually $100k on a "new" 07 is not a bad deal - that is 3 yrs warrenty from purchase. I paid a lot more for my 07 when new. I think they are just starting somewhere on price w/ you .... are you a buyer or just kicking some tires to see what is out there? Try $95k and I think you did great ... is this the "Burgandy" colored one w/ light interior? If so that is a very good looking car ...

hey Mike,
I believe you were the person told me about this forum. I have been searching for awhile. I have a budget and I will do it next March or April when the snow is gone. There is really no point to get a toy that I can only watch, but can't play. However, I am still making the choice between 07 V8 Vantage, 99 F355, or a 07 M6.

Back to that "new 07", first it's 07 and only has one more year of warrenty left. A <10k miles 07 is ~80k all over the places. I just can't see myself pay the extra for that one. I am just not a big fan of taking the 1' year price dump. The color combo is only OK, I think it's red/red.

Your call - all 3 cars are actually quite different - depends what you like. If the dealer is selling an untitled new 07 then it should have 3 years of warrenty from date of sale. Good luck on your choices ... I do not see the market rising any time soon ... should work to your advantage on purchase.

Dude, learn from my lesson. If you are going to buy a used vantage, do not pay more than $70k. I sold my 06 AMV8 fully loaded, and was very surprised at how low the price was. I called around for some trade in prices, and the highest price anyone would give me was around $55k. My car was fully loaded, 10k miles.

Sold it private, but the dealers offered only $50-55k. Trust me, all the ones you see listed 80k and up are going unsold....so real mkt price should be 10-20k under what anyone is asking for. =(
