Vantage Ownership

Ok, time to chime in...
I've had my '06 Vantage now for about a year and a half (bought it from a private owner). I paid around $90k before taxes.
Annual Service: I have had the 2 year and 3 year annual service work done on time. The first time, it cost about $1,400, the second time it cost about $1,000. I think that's pretty good considering it's not a mass produced car. I had the first service done in Tampa and the second in Orlando - both dealerships were great to work with.
Reliability: I've had several minor items addressed through the factory warranty. They were mostly cosmetic items. For example, the leather on the driver side dash had some imperfections and the new panels had to be shipped from Europe (it looks perfect now). Also, my trunk lid had some "dimples" near the corners that were caused by some mesh being bonded to the lid underneath. It turns out AM was aware of the issue on some cars and had a 3rd party correct it (got it done at AM, Orlando - under the warranty). Also had a couple of sporadic and annoying rattles coming from the dash - again, covered under the warranty.
Warranty: The factory warranty is up in June and so I just bought the extended warranty through the AM, Orlando dealership. It cost about $4,400 for 2 years. I think it's well worth it for the piece of mind and since, let's face it, it is expensive to get anything done on the car. Plus, if I and when I do upgrade, the new buyer will know that I've taken care of the car (dealerships have to do a thorough inspection before they let you buy the extended warranty).
Daily driver?: Well, brace yourselves, I bought the car with about 8k miles...it is now proudly approaching 30k. I'm not kidding, I drive this thing everywhere I go...I just can't let it sit in the garage. Hang on...I thought I heard a noise outside...I'm going to jump in the car and drive around the house a few times to make sure everything's ok.
All I can say is that this is the best car I've ever had, in every way. It's beautiful, reliable, fun to drive, rare, and most of all, it's puts a big smile on my face. Hope this helps...

Agree with acabrera. Was talking with the guys at the dealerships and they said for some reason Vantage drivers drive them everyday whereas DB9 owners and DBS owners garage theirs for most of the year. There's a short driving season in Boston so I take full advantage of it, its a great car to drive and while it's not the fastest, it's fun (plus, living in a big city how often are you able to open her up, anyways...).
