How best to drive a sport shift transmissions

What mode is easiest on the clutch. Comfort or sport? Logic would tell me sport since the computer is getting the transmission into gear as soon as possible and in comfort it is slipping the clutch to make the shift smoother. Does anyone know? Also how long does the clutch last with the computer doing the shifting? I would think it would last longer then when a person is doing the shifting??? Also I down shift at around 2000 rpms when I am coming to a stop which causes a minumum flare is that what others recommend? Sorry for all the questions but it is my first experience with a auto shifting manual any advice on how to make it last longer and not screw it up is welcome. Thanks
