The problem with the Z06 is that sooner or later someone will see you in it.

Driving an Aston Martin already give me a big dick. If I were to supercharge it as well and be able to wax most other cars around, I wouldn't be able to fit it in the same room let alone my pants.

The problem with the Z06 is that sooner or later someone will see you in it.

Let's be realistic here, though. If performance wasn't important, then we wouldn't have gotten a sports car...that said, it doesn't have to be a stripped out compromised track car, but it should be able to keep up with cars that fall in the same class...911S/TT/GT3, R8, F430. It's slower than all of those in stock form...as well as some in other classes...M3, RS4, Corvette, GT-R, AMG C63/E63/SL63, for example. Hell, even the 135i is faster in a straight line. There's always going to be something faster, but that's a bit much.

I tried waiting for NA upgrades. Nothing really there to make a significant difference. I tried getting Aston Martin Racing parts. Can't get those. I'm not willing to strip out my car ala the N24, and the V12 isn't coming here. As I've said before, I love this car, and the only thing I'd trade it for is a faster Vantage. The choice came down to trading for an '09, which would have cost me about $50K for 40 hp, or the SC kit costing about $30 for 170+hp. Overall the SC made the most sense.

Exactly. As for cost, its worth whatever you are willing to pay and that is a very personal decision that will vary from person to person. For me, it was worth every penny as it transformed the car into a vehicle I am excited to drive. It is faster than an R8, f430 and 997tt.
The service from Ali and their attention to detail is nothing short of phenomenal. It is unparalleled compare to other experiences I've had with Porsche. The service was worth the price of admission IMHO.

Not really, all they see are the tail lights.

Correct. But it would be in everyone's interest to sell more of a product and have more people share your positive experience with the kit. Take me as an example, one major reason that holds me back is the voided warranty consequence, however, if I knew 10 more people with this kit experiencing no issues with reliability, I'd be much more likely to pull the trigger at some point. I wish Ali could have some kind of a deal with my dealer so that I could upgrade with the kit and retain dealer warranty. This will remain a wish as AM is unlikely to go for that.

BTW, did the 30K cost support the clutch upgrade as well?

Did anyone else see the ESX Stage IV? The ESX site suggests that you can get "1000+" hp for $32K. Then again, it actually says 1000+ hp "capabilities." Does that mean you can get the 1K hp after you bolt on an SC to the 5.0 L engine?

Hi everyone,

Ali here from ESX.
I just wanted to chime in and say thanks for the kind words posted and address a couple posts that I've seen.

Our new engine packages, especially the Stage IV 5.0 L are capable of 1000+ HP but can only reach that HP supercharged. We have a couple different options for Superchargers for enthusiasts that want to take their Astons to that level.

We are currently building ESX Super Vantage's #14 and #15, and hope to have the first 20 cars done by years end. We've had a lot of success with these Supercharged Vantages and haven't experienced any real issues outside of the normal Aston issues.

The cost of the kit reflects the amount of work and parts. There are over 140 custom designed pieces to the kit and the installation and tuning takes over a week.
I know there are other kits, primarily designed for domestic vehicles, which are less expensive, but they do not have near the amount of parts that need to be replaced or added as the Aston kits. We designed these kits so they can utilize stock bolt holes, thus not needing any drilling or cutting what so ever. This way you can always revert your Aston back to stock if you wish, for trade-ins, selling, lease returns, etc.

We would be willing to offer a discounted rate if we get a "group buy". If we can get an order of 3 or more at one time, then we could offer a substantial discount as many of these components are CNC machined on an order basis, and doing a larger batch would reduce costs across the board and that savings would be passed down to the client.

If anyone has any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me directly for a faster response. Ali@esxmotorsports.com or 323.574.1951

Gus will be handling many of the postings on the forums and he will be monitoring them daily.

Thanks and Safe Motoring!

Ali

Sorry for the delay in response,

The engine kits for 1000+ HP are built to handle our supercharger system and must have a supercharger system installed to generate 1000+ HP.

Our clutches are an additional $6200 (which includes installation).
The base supercharger system as of Sept. 1st, 2009 is $28.995.

Anyone who wishes to get a faster response please email me directly at ali@esxmotorsports.com.

We try to make sure we review the boards every day, but sometimes our building/racing schedule keeps us very busy!

Thanks and happy motoring!!

Ali
